I recently picked up a Pentax K1 and other than the somewhat sluggish auto-focus I’m pretty happy with it so far. 36 mega pixels is overkill for most of the photography that I do, but now that I’ve figured out how to handle these (enormous) files in Lightroom (thanks to the Huelight Color Profiles, the Adobe ones for Pentax are garbage) I’m happy with the images I’m getting, even if they are eating up more hard drive space than I’d like. Here are a few that I’ve shot around DC the past few weeks using the Pentax 15-30mm f/2.8, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4, and the Pentax 77mm f/1.8 Limited.
